After much searching, I finally found my copy of Angel’s Station by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band.
This is an album I think every pop music fan should at least hear, and should probably own. Every track on this album is excellent. The album is a triumph in so many ways, not the least of which is Angel Station features a six-note descending theme in most of the songs on the album, woven into the context of each song in a different way.
It was very difficult to choose just one to highlight, but I found one that has a powerful lyric as well as a unique sound.
